Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2
Unveiled ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Before hitting the floor at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Lamborghini has unveiled its latest creation: the Huracan LP580-2. Intended for driving enthusiasts, the new take on the Huracan ditches four-wheel drive in favor of rear-wheel drive and features the likes of modified bumpers and specially-designed Pirelli PZero tires so as to differentiate it from its aforementioned counterpart. The changes don’t stop there, however. Under the hood is a 5.2-liter V10 capable of 398 lb-ft of torque, acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph. Though slightly less powerful — and slightly slower — than the Huracan LP610-4, the LP580-2 sheds about 72 pounds of weight while its retuned suspension, improved steering and re-calibrated stability and traction control systems promise a better overall driving experience.
Perhaps best of all, the LP580-2 will retail for roughly $21,000 USD less than the LP610-4 and can be had for around $159,600 USD.
