This Friday, the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” will make its return following a retro release in 2007. An eight-year hiatus has restored some hype around this rendition, but its 1993 debut had us in awe. February 1993, just eight months before he announces his retirement, Michael Jordan steps onto the court in custom Air Jordan 8s for a special occasion — the 1993 NBA All-Star Game. Although the leading vote getter, MJ, scored a game high 30 points, his squad lost to the West with hometown boys Karl Malone and John Stockton taking home the co-MVP honors. Nevertheless MJ’s mark was left, both in performance and style. Check out the video above from Nice Kicks and Wish ATL highlighting the Air Jordan 8’s “Aqua” debut.
