October 31 has a whole new meaning for our neighbors down south, and anticipation builds for Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the Mexican holiday that brings friends and family together to celebrate the spiritual journeys of departed loved ones after life. This year Nike pays its respects to the holiday with its own festive tribute in the form of a new Cortez silhouette. The Cortez Basic Premium QS is rendered in premium nylon and suede with a Black/Black-Sail colorway and features navy blue and orange Swoosh logos on each shoe, a white midsole, and bright orange accents. The sleek, dark upper is laced with intricate designs of sugar skulls and marigold flowers that are synonymous with the holiday.
