Horror film and gaming fans recently had the opportunity to play as Jason Voorhees in Mortal Kombat X, but soon players will be able to terrorize Camp Crystal Lake itself as the hockey-masked villain thanks to Friday the 13th: The Game. Developed by Gun Media, the proposed third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer game will see one player controlling the machete-wielding Voorhees while the remaining seven players take on the role of camp counselors as they look to take down Jason in this ode to the golden era of slashers. The game even runs on Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, so it’s sure to look as good as anything else out there.

Gun Media is currently looking for at least $700,000 USD in funding via Kickstarter to make Friday the 13th: The Game a reality. The project is currently on tap for an October 2016 release — just in time for Halloween.
