After teaming up with mita sneakers and Reebok for a collaborative edition of the 20th anniversary Instapump Fury, Japanese label WHIZ LIMITED and designer Hiroaki Shitano return with their brand new collection for 2015’s spring/summer season. Dubbed “RECOGNIZE,” WHIZ’s latest drop is influenced by the need to “recognize the world” and acknowledges the themes of war and political anxiety that dominated modern times. The result is a reappropriation of military-inspired designs as lightweight vets, double-breasted pea coat-inspired trenches, short-sleeve field shirts, chinos, and shemaghs are updated with the likes of bold seasonally-apropos hues and leopard-spotted motifs and coupled with sweats, cable-knit sweaters, cardigans, bombers, striped tees and more. WHIZ LIMITED’s “RECOGNIZE” release will be available beginning this Saturday, January 24 online and at select stockists, including LUMP TOKYO.
