Sneakersnstuff honors the development of streetwear’s public perception with the release of a new collaboration with ASICS and its Onitsuka Tiger imprint. The Swedish retailer looks back to a time when sneakers were taboo in club settings, a disparity that has since been alleviated, to some degree at least. Accordingly, the “Tailor” pack features one of ASICS’ and Onitsuka Tiger’s handsomest silhouettes respectively – the GEL-Lyte V and the Shaw Runner – embedding each with formal nods such as pinstripes and tweed. At the outset, the GEL-Lyte V is built with an army green synthetic nubuck paneling over a speckled tweed, while the Shaw Runner has been executed in blue nubuck with a tonal pinstripe base. Both of these limited releases will drop beginning January 31 at all Sneakersnstuff locations, with a wider release on February 7.
