It’s not often someone gets criticized for donating money, but that’s exactly what happened to Georgia hip-hop trio Migos this week. The “Versace” crew stopped by Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta yesterday to give back some of their earnings, though some critics on Twitter thought their contribution was not nearly enough. Migos posted a photo to their Instagram account of themselves, along with other Quality Control artists, handing over a giant check for $1,000 dollars to the school, prompting some harsh call outs on the social site. Migos, however, tweets that giving is about the intention rather than the amount, saying, “[Giving] one dollar to a homeless is a blessing; so giving back anything to help a cause is a blessing.” Check out their Instagram post below and share your thoughts.
