Central Saint Martins student Kiko Kostadinov will be designing a special capsule collection for Stussy‘s 35th anniversary as part of London Collections: Men 2015 Fall/Winter fashion week, and inspired by the typographic text artwork of Lawrence Weiner and minimalist sculptures of Richard Serra. The collection continues themes from his first well-received 2013 “Displacement” collection with Stussy and is comprised of crew neck shirts, sweatpants and hoodies, featuring a mismatched, ripped look that gives the collection a distinctly distressed aesthetic. ”The initial idea was just to fuck up the basic logo. It’s so bold and recognisable … even if you leave only the two dots, people will still probably know what it is,” said Kostadinov. Watch out for the Kiko Kostadinov x Stussy 2015 35th Anniversary Capsule Collection which will be available January 9 exclusively at Machine-A.
