Jean-Charles de Castelbajac Creates Stamps for the French Postal Service
Fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac will be designing a special edition heart-shaped stamp

Fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac will be designing a special edition heart-shaped stamp for France’s postal service, La Poste. “The mysterious journey of a letter has always fascinated me,” the designer remarked, “letters, cards and poems are my link to imagination in a world that’s obsessed with speed. It’s important to remember to spend time on essential things.” Regarding the heart-shaped design, Castelbajac explained, “I wanted to send a message in primary colors — one of love and peace.” La Poste has featured a roster of guest designers in the past, which includes the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Lanvin, Givenchy and Christian Lacroix. Watch out for Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s special edition stamp to be officially launched on January 26.
