Guests filed into the dimly lit Palais Galliera in Paris to examine Haider Ackermann‘s Fall/Winter 2015 offerings, with the darkness complementing his usual style and clientele. Through the crowds, Ackermann’s wrapped and draped jackets were of the usual velvet and leather we’ve become accustomed to, adorning the brooding models. However, tasseled scarves, robe-like coats, loose-fitting shirts in jewel-tone velvet mixed with neutrals made for very interesting compositions, styled ingeniously into aesthetically balanced outfits. The mélange of textures and tones were the focus of the show, and although Ackermann did not stray too far from his usual style offerings, it was an impressive collection nonetheless.
