A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples, Tyga & More Featured in New Movie 'Dope'

ASAP Rocky, Vince Staples, Casey Veggies and Tyga are just some of the rappers set to appear in Rick Famuyiwa’s upcoming film, Dope. Billed as a “coming of age comedy/drama for the post hip-hop generation,” Dope follows the narrative of a hip-hop obsessive named Malcolm’s journey from the poverty-plagued streets of Inglewood to Harvard. Several popular artists, ranging from the aforementioned rappers to Noe Kravitz and Chanel Iman will all be featured in the film, with Rocky even starring in a “supporting role.” Pharrell was also tapped to compose three original songs for the film, which are set to be included as songs by Dope protagonist Malcolm and his band.
