In the latest instalment of pianist, Chilly Gonzales‘ Pop Music Masterclass series, the musical mastermind breaks down iLoveMakonnen and Drake‘s smash single “Tuesday.” However, unlike many pop-music deconstructions that you might find, Gonzales is not knocking the rapper’s usage of basic chord progressions but appraising them for their ability to make something so simple and repetitive have so much more value than what it theoretically is.
