First there was “No Flex Zone,” now Rae Sremmurd are getting the cogs on the machine going for their new single, “No Type,” with a summer-appropriate video. Though they have a tendency to veer into sounding like a more melodic, less masculine version of Migos at certain points, the Mississippi pair are building an impressive buzz right now. Partly due to their Mike WiLL affiliation, mostly due to the fact they seem to have a knack for penning club-dominating, easy-on-the-ear singles, Rae Sremmurd are poised for some sort of success in the future. Whether it be temporary or long term remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: on repeated rinses, “No Type” is an accessible, pop-esque effort that should be racking up obscene YouTube and WSHH views in no time. You can watch Rae Sremmurd hang out around Santa Monica and Venice Beach in the video for “No Type” above.
