As Derek Jeter‘s storied career draws to a close, Jordan Brand celebrates one of the most iconic Yankees of all time by creating a special collection of footwear for the New York shortstop. Paying “RE2PECT” to the longtime great, the release is highlighted by the inclusion of a Jeter edition of the timeless Air Jordan 1. Decked out in navy blue leather with pinstriped accents, the kicks don unique “JETER” branding along the tongue along with special graphic insoles and metallic gold branding hits. Joining the original Air Jordan is a Midnight Navy/Metallic Gold-Sail-Night Silver colorway of the Flight Flex Trainer, which sports the same “JETER” tongue insignia as the AJ1. Retailing for $140 and $120 USD respectively, the pinstriped takes on the Air Jordan 1 and Flight Flex Trainer are set to hit Jordan dealers and Nike.com September 20.
