Classical Music Video Reinterprets 50 Years of Batman Movie Music

The soundtracks to the Batman franchise have always been one of the defining features of the evocative world of Gotham City, and doing those tunes justice are YouTube musicians The Piano Guys with their new music video. Titled “Batman Evolution,” the musical duo reinterpret the theme songs of the Batman series from the ’60s, ‘89, and the most recent Dark Knight trilogy on the piano and cello. Set against movie-accurate backgrounds and utilizing cinematography befitting the era, not a detail was missed as even the atmosphere and aspect ratio of each respective movie has been included. The centerpieces of these sets are none other than the Batmobiles from each era, showing the fascinating evolution of taste and aesthetics over time as portrayed through the films’ music and set designs.
