Brothers Tobi and Chris immigrated from Nigeria to Toronto in 2001, and in 2010 started making music under the name Sprawlhunt. Influenced by ’60s and ’70s-era rock and the raw, quick-fire style of punk, the two combined these styles with their love of hip-hop, conceptualizing a narrative-driven album based on a motorcycle gang.
