With the 2014-15 NBA season rapidly approaching, Jordan Brand unveils Chris Paul‘s latest signature sneaker: the CP3.VIII. Built for speed, the new silhouette brings a sleek, minimalist aesthetic to a shoe that’s been designed for maximum performance and responsiveness on the court. Offering supreme stability for attacking the rim and quickly changing directions by way of a TPU chassis, the design employs a unique 5/8 cut that puts it somewhere in the realm between mid- and low-tops. Inside is a full inner sleeve for a sock-like fit while a synthetic overlay–complete with strategically-placed rubber pods–offers lightweight support and durability. Finally, the shoe follows in the footsteps of Paul’s CP3.VII and sports a Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot for cushioning and a herringbone pattern at the heel of the outsole for multi-directional traction. Finally, personal touches like a family tree along the inside of the tongue pay tribute to Paul’s family.
The Jordan CP3.VIII is set to launch November 1 in Black/Infrared 23-White and Cool Grey/White-Black colorways for $130 USD.
