Here's Kanye West's Deposition After Paparazzi Attack Case, And It's Epic

As you might remember, Kanye West was charged with misdemeanors of criminal battery and attempted grand theft after allegedly attacking a paparazzo in July 2013. While he pled not guilty, and was eventually sentenced to two years probation in March, TMZ has now obtained portion of the transcript from Ye’s deposition regarding his 2013 paparazzi assault case. While talking to the photographer’s lawyer, Nate Goldberg, Kanye went into attack mode. In addition to claiming that he’s “the smartest fucking celebrity you’ve ever dealt with. I’m not Britney Spears,” he said:
“I’m in the business of trying to make dope shit for the world. You’re in the business of representing scums and trying to make as much money as long as there’s this lapse in the law.”
Kanye seemed to get pretty offended when Goldberg brought up some lyrics to “Flashing Lights” and recited them word by word, including N-word.
“You have to ask for a hall pass,” he said according to the report. “You can’t just say the N-word around me. It offends me because you’re a white person saying ‘n***a.’”
He then started to lash out in the name of all celebrities, comparing the fight for civil rights in the 1960s to the challenges that celebrities face trying to maintain their privacy.
“I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities. We, as group of minorities here in L.A., as celebrities have to ban together to influence guys like this – guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the check.”
Also, when asked about his residence, he replied, “Earth.”
