The latest addition to Damien Hirst‘s “Head” series is now available to the public thanks to the artist’s own Other Criteria imprint. Aptly entitled Magnificent Head, the new “Head” release–a series that launched in 2008 with Hypnotic, Hallucinatory, and Transcendent versions and one that explores themes or mortality, history and anthropology–sees plastic skulls covered in household glass and coated in metallic gold.
Four different hand-signed executions of Hirst’s Magnificent Head are now available online for £36,800 GBP (approximately $62,000 USD) each while the aforementioned Hypnotic, Hallucinatory and Transcendent works are also available–each limited to 50 unique creations–starting at £18,400 GBP (approximately $31,000 USD).
