A Closer Look at the Audi A8

In this edition of A Closer Look, Audi Product Communications Senior Manager, Mark Dahncke, walks us through some of the new features of the new A8 model which has been dubbed “the driver’s luxury sedan.” Aside from a new hood, grill front bumper and LED headlamps incorporated into the car’s lightweight aluminum-reinforced body, the A8 in particular boasts an extra 15 horsepower when outfitted with a 4.0T engine configuration to bring it to a total of 435hp that pushes it from 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds.

Updates to the interior of the A8 and its variants include carbon fiber copper-twill inlays paired with leather upholstery, as well as a host of tech add-ons with the Audi MMI (Multi Media Interface) system. Features of the MMI for both the A8 and S8 system include a built-in WiFi hotspot for up to eight devices, Bang & Olufsen sound system, Google Voice search and enhanced navigation with 3D maps.
