Barneys New York recently announced a collaborative project with Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook. Known for his bold outfit choices, Westbrook has turned heads with pink pants, graffiti-patterned bombers and is famous for never wearing certain pieces more than once.
Designed in partnership with Barneys’ menswear executive vice president Tom Kalenderian, The Westbrook Exclusively Ours Barneys New York collection — or simply, Westbrook XO Barneys New York for short — will feature sportswear, denim, leather goods, eyewear, footwear and custom luggage at launch. Participating vendors in this first season will include Jordan Brand, Marcelo Burlon, Naked & Famous, Want Les Essentiels, Selima Optique, Del Toro and Globe Trotter.
The collection is set to release in July at Barneys New York stores with an official unveiling to take place later this month at a dinner hosted by Burlon.
