Dr. Dre took to Twitter to share the release date of Universal’s N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton. Besides announcing that the highly anticipated project will arrive in theaters August 14, 2015, the legendary producer also unveiled the official cast photo. As previously reported, F. Gary Gray will direct while Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., will portray his father, and Marcus Callender will play Dre. Eazy-E will be portrayed by a New Orleans-based actor named Jason Mitchell. The entire project had to face various postponements since Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and Eazy-E’s widow, Tomica Wright, had difficulties agreeing and signing of the actors who would portray the band.
