Even without a sensible, beneficial label situation, the sheer volume of music coming from Thug’s way right now is titanic. At this point, Thug’s work ethic is coming close to the herculean level his idol Lil Wayne was reaching a few years back.

Metro & the Mafia provide the perfect backdrop for the spastic-but-melodic ATLien character Thug plays on each track, and from unorthodox fast-raps to warped-out, sing-song flows, Skooly & Thug are detonating sonic explosives all over this cut. With “Every Morning,” Young Thug continues to sculpt his bizarrely accessible approach to making music, while becoming increasingly more difficult to classify.
