The first 25% of 2014 are officially over, and it’s been quite a ride so far. From the announced OutKast reunion, Macklemore’s bright night at the GRAMMYs, Frank Ocean’s Chipotle lawsuit, or Kanye’s brief custody and so on, 2014 turns out to be nothing short of surprises. However, this year has already seen quite a few music releases as well — Pharrell brought out G I R L, so did Rick Ross with Mastermind and KiD CuDi with Satellite Flight. ScHoolboy Q finally delivered his major label debut Oxymoron while Skrillex shook the industry with the release of his new album Recess. We also saw the arrival of collaborative projects such as Broken Bells’s, aka Danger Mouse and James Mercer, After the Disco, and Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s Piñata. Hence, we dedicate our latest poll to your favorite album release in the first quarter of 2014. We listed a brief selection of releases below but feel free to discuss your preference in the comment section below as well.
