Polls: Branding or Design?

The recent release of the Supreme x Nike Air Foamposite 1 made news because of the monster crowds trying to get their chance at a pair. Whether they were in it to resell or wear, potential buyers were out in such force that the New York release was shut down by the NYPD over safety concerns. The design, no doubt, is an eye-catching one, but given the success (or lack thereof) of recent graphic Foamposites, one has to wonder whether this would have done as well if it wasn’t a Supreme drop.
