In timely celebration of both the legendary Bo Jackson and the start of the 2014 MLB season, Nike has quickly stricken with a new rendition of the Air Trainer SC High silhouette. This version, dubbed “Broken Bats,” humorously pays homage to Jackson’s affinity for breaking bats during games, as well as making a nod to his features in classic video games like Tecmo Bowl and Bo Jackson’s Baseball. The paneled upper is executed with perforated white leather, juxtaposed with animated grey woodgrain along the forefoot and hits of (Kansas City) royal blue throughout. Standout highlights include a pixilated Jackson patch at the tongue, as well as a translucent outsole that reveals “Broken” and “Bats” underneath.
