This culture of preservation might take a blow in light of the impending 2020 Olympics, but an unlikely candidate has stepped up to champion modernist Japanese structures – specifically Tokyo’s famed Hotel Okura. We’ve previously explored the importance of the hotel with Monocle, and now Bottega Venneta‘s creative director Tomas Maier has intervened with a new campaign to save the Yoshiro Taniguchi-designed landmark.
