Earlier we announced the December 20 release of FRANK151‘s The FRANK Book Chapter 58: FRANKSOSA curated by Chief Keef. Chapter 58 focuses on Chief Keef, who is reputed for his catchy hooks and brazen social media presence, and his rap collective, #GloGang. The issue exposes an intimate look at the Chi-Town rapper and his aesthetic by exploring all things SOSA through the eyes of the his fans. “I wanted to depict the Keef that is not publicized by emphasizing his love for art and his fans,” states publisher Stephen Malbon. The issue is comprised of work from multiple contributors such as the rapper himself, Bill da Butcher, MQ, Rob Jest, Yung Lenox and more, and includes group interviews from Chief Keef, Bill da Butcher and Casimir “Colorful Money” Spaulding. It also features images of multiple mediums such as napkin drawings, watercolor illustrations, acrylic portraits and early photographs. In celebration of the issue, a launch party was held on the release date at The Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles. The reception included a book signing, artwork by the aforementioned contributors, and a T-shirt capsule collection from Chief Keef and FRANK151. Yoshirt was also present with customized KEEF artwork on shirts, sweatshirts and socks via the iOS Yoshirt app. The Seventh Letter also released a custom GloGang limited tee that you can buy here for $10 USD.
