Every so often there is a software release that manages to revolutionize how preexisting software is used in everyday life. Skype has now released phase one of its language translator program which eliminates the language barrier. It will initially launch on Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 with English and Spanish as the primary languages. The release is the result of decades of speech recognition research and automated translations. The software is even able to learn and better recognize the diversity of topics, accents and even colloquialisms spouted by users. This means that the more Skype Translator is used, the better it gets. Watch the video above for a glimpse of its capabilities.
