After unveiling the tracklist and teasing new visuals, Joey Bada$$ has released another single off his forthcoming debut album, B4.Da.$$. “No. 99” is produced by Statik Selektah, and serves as the third B4.Da.$$ track to be liberated. It’s a mid-nineties-style banger that probably will bring back memories of NYC forefathers such as the Boot Camp Clik and songs like Big Pun and Fat Joe’s “Twinz.”. The song contains a menacing low-end and stomping boom-bap tempo that sounds like something a mob would rush a club to, and Joey’s fury of bars here is frentic and aggressive. No wonder the video appears to be based around upheaval and rioting. You can listen to “No. 99” above.
