Rae Sremmurd‘s ad-lib game is strong with this one. The Mississipi duo have just dropped a new video for a new single off their forthcoming Sremmlife mixtape, and it’s one of their most aggressive efforts yet. On “Illest Walking,” the combination of caps-lock yelps with back-and-forth bouncing between dizzying, frenzied, and shrieked flows can match OG Maco and Migos in intensity and energy. Honorable C-Note’s beat here sounds like it was tailor-made for a horror movie blockbuster’s most intense sequence, further reinforcing the track’s might and menace. This definitely sounds like something a DJ act like Flosstradamus or A-Trak could open up a set with or use the next time they see a festival floor slowing down.
