Fashion house Hermès looks to diversify its efforts with the unveiling of a new line of home fragrances. The holiday launch under the moniker of Le Parfum de la Maison, is a further step forward into a truly expansive line of lifestyle offerings which began earlier this year with the introduction of a bath collection. The line of home fragrances is led by Céline Ellena, the daughter in-house perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, who took a conceptual approach inspired by “little dreams” that one may experience at home. Five different scents include Des pas sur la neige (Footprints in the Snow), Temps de pluie (Wet Weather), Fenêtre ouverte (Open Window), Champ libre (Open Field) and À cheval! (On Horseback!). Each of the five scents can be seen in different formats including a 220 g candle bowl priced at approximately $187 USD, a 620 g candle priced at approximately $312 USD and finally a 1.1 kg candle priced at approximately $436 USD. Other items include a pack of four scented-paper horses for approximately $106 USD and a perfumed pebble priced at approximately $249 USD. The collection launches on December 1, 2014 through Hermès doors with 50 other speciality doors in line as stockists.
