In a few hours, millions of people across America will sit down to their yearly Thanksgiving dinner, but Hannah Rothstein looked to create a different dialog beyond the primary needs of food. Art and food go beyond sustenance as Rothstein reappropriates various conceptual turkey dinners that bring into the mix some of the world’s greatest artists. The usual fixings of gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, turkey and more are seen through the lens of Van Gogh, Pollock, Rothko, Picasso, Warhol and more. Twenty-five signed, limited edition prints will be available for sale with profits donated to the SF-Marin Food Bank.
