PREMIERE: XOV - Boys Don't Cry (WoodzSTHLM Remix)

Young Swedish producer WoodzSTHLM has cooked up a remix of XOV’s “Boys Don’t Cry.” WoodzSTHLM created his rendition of “Boys Don’t Cry” while out traveling in Japan, and admits you’ll probably hear “some Japanese type of sound” because of it. The remix’s artwork is a shot from when WoodzSTHLM was wandering round the mountains of Nikko during a particularily hazy, fog-smothered morning. The track’s sound matches the aforementioned moment in time captured in the cover art, though WoodzSTHLM supplants the otherwise opiate-like production with a hard-hitting, aggressive groove. XOV approves of the Swedish upstart’s rendition, saying that, “WoodzSTHLM has made a dope remix with a cool beat,” and says its puts him in “headbanging mode.” You can check out WoodzSTHLM’s remix of “Boys Don’t Cry” above.
