Nike took to Spring Studios in New York to jam-pack its latest innovations for women into an adrenaline-fueled day. Assembling media outlets from markets around the world, the Swoosh effectively ushered in a new era of women’s sportswear. Your choice of spectacle separated the event from the pack of press events: Karlie Kloss and a small army of supermodels descended from the ceiling fashioning Nike’s forthcoming women’s collaboration with Pedro Lourenço; the official unveiling of the Nike Flyknit 3; and a moving, optimistic speech by none other than Mark Parker helped solidify the brand’s positioning not only in women’s sports fashion, but across the board. After an engrossing panel on Nike’s efforts in sustainability, visitors were invited to peruse the forthcoming fall/winter pieces from Nike Sportswear, as well as a high-profile women’s collection by Acronym and Stone Island alum Johanna Schnieder. The day was capped off by a communal workout invitational, provided courtesy of the Nike Training Club – Nike’s interactive personal workout app. As we embark on a new era in women’s fashion, enjoy photos from the event above.
