It appears that the arrival of Lupe Fiasco’s highly anticipated new album, Tetsuo & Youth, won’t happen anytime soon. The Chicago native took to Instagram to share that his label, Atlantic Records, does not intend to release the LP unless there is a pop-friendly single. As a respond to this development, Lupe has announced a new project, called Lost In The Atlantic Ocean. It is worth pointing out that the post has been deleted after 15 minutes, but the news have already spread. Here’s what the caption said:
ATLANTIC RECORDS won’t release the album until they get a “pop” single…so putting together a mini-project while they find one for me. It’s called “Lost In The Atlantic Ocean” with a bunch of my friends to stay active and happy…this a snippet called “Lilies” feat Sirah produced by The Buchannons…finishing today…
Stay tuned.
