The latest in what seems to be a very fashion-centric marketing campaign by Apple for the Apple Watch are these images shot by British photographer David Sims and styled by Karl Templer of the smartwatch in a fashion editorial setting. First shown to members of the fashion elite at a high-profile dinner hosted by Apple during Paris Fashion Week, the images mark a departure away from the technology giant’s normally family and young adult-oriented advertising towards a consciously high fashion approach. In addition, David Sims and Karl Templer were also involved in shooting the Apple Watch as worn by supermodel Liu Wen, who is due to grace the cover of Vogue China‘s upcoming November issue. Only time will tell the success of this change in marketing tactics when the Apple Watch releases in early 2015.
