In what can be considered a generous gesture, Killer Mike and El-P, collectively known as Run the Jewels, sent out their latest album, RTJ2, for free. It is worth pointing out that the LP won’t officially be released until October 27 via Mass Appeal Records. Along with the album, the duo sent out following email:
We just couldn’t wait another damn day longer to share RTJ2 with you. Thank you to all the jewel runners worldwide for all your support. It means everything to us. Please enjoy the music. It was made for you.
RTJ2 boasts contributions from Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, Beyoncé collaborator Boots and Diane Coffee (Foxygen’s Shaun Fleming). Download RTJ2 here and stay tuned for their cat remix album Meow the Jewels.
