Multi-talented duo Broods have put their own spin on Charli XCX‘s recent single, “Break The Rules,” for a new official remix. The pair eschew the upbeat, bright feel of the original for a heavier, darker sound that leans close to the industrial side of music, turning the song into a something a little less radio-friendly and a lot less likely to break the Top 40. It’s an interesting take on Charli XCX’s hit song, and it’s certainly different than the usual slick, club-oriented remixes that have become commonplace since acts like Disclosure have become big.
