Athens’ latest retail location is the adidas Originals “fashion space,” designed by award-winning architectural firm ONOMA Architects. The store is intended as a platform to showcase collaborations with notable designers such as Jeremy Scott, NIGO, NEIGHBORHOOD and Pharrell Williams to name a few. Rendered in oak wood is a stunning geometric grid shell that encases the walls of the retail space as a backdrop for displaying sneakers and clothes, designed to reflect their originality. Additionally, an adidas Originals logo sits high on the back wall, reinterpreted as a mosaic-like sculpture to represent the diversity of designs. This store will be a welcome addition to Athens’ retail landscape.
