With the 2014 Academy Awards looming, set to air March 2, the nominees have just been announced. In the running to take home some awards are Karen O and Spike Jonze, who are both up for nominations in the “Original Song” category The Moon Song” written by Karen O and Jonze. They’ll be up against Pharrell‘s monster track “Happy” which was specifically made for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack along with U2‘s “Ordinary Love,” Bruce Broughton and Dennis Spiegel’s “Alone Yet Not Alone” and lastly, Kristen Anderson-Lopez/Robert Lopez’”Let it Go.” Arcade Fire has also been nominated in the “Original Score” category for their work on Her.
