Today, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to Twitter to announce that Kanye West‘s Yeezus album has officially reached platinum status. Turning another cornerstone, Yeezus was released in June last year as the artist’s seventh solo efforts, extending itself as an all-encompassing music and visual arts project. The 10-track LP features a number of music heavyweights — Daft Punk, Travi$ Scott, Chief Keef, KiD CuDi — alongside a slew of hard-hitting producers such as Hudson Mohawke, Evian Christ, Arca and Gesaffelstein. This news certifies that over over 1 million copies of Yeezus has been shipped and sold, making all seven of Ye’s projects certified platinum.
Congratulations to @kanyewest on his 7th @RIAA #Platinum album award for ‘Yeezus” – he’s 7 for 7! W @DefJamRecords
