Jordan Brand Unveils the Jordan Future

With the publicity surrounding Jordan Retro releases, the Jordan Brand team has also put an equal concentration on modern silhouettes for its current athletes. The two worlds come together in the Jordan Future, the latest basketball shoe from the sportswear stalwart. Influence from the Jordan XI is immediately recognizable in the ribbed outsole – colored a sort of ‘Volt’ green this time around – and the black midsole. These features are countered by an asymmetric wrap around the lacing at the upper, which looks almost wholly composed of a woven material. Suede hits accent the collar and the tongue of the shoe, adding a slightly casual edge. Sure to cause a mixed reaction leading up to its March 1 release, only time will tell if the shoe will forge a new path for the brand’s line. The shoe is set for pricing at $185 USD.
