Apple recently unveiled iOS 7, a striking redesign of its iPhone and iPad operating system. As Apple CEO Tim Cook stated, iOS 7 comes as “the biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone.” While various distinctive features have been altered for a more simplistic, clean-cut look, the most prominent change is the new flat design. Gone are the real-world textures and icons, in favor of something simpler and distinctly more digital. The new interface allows for the wallpaper to move when the phone is tilted, while icons stand still, providing a stylish effect that’s either visually pleasing, or rather daunting. This is furthered onto apps like Safari where one can open up to nine browsers tabs at once by having them stacked up vertically. Are you a fan of the new flat design, or do you miss the old skeuomorphic design?
