When we got our first glimpse of Patrik Ervell’s 2013 fall/winter range back in February we noticed subtle nods to certain outwear stalwarts, yet he was able to set his designs apart with a refined sophistication that ironically proved to be as much timeless as it was uber trendy, thanks to his consistently dark palette. Tight-roping the line of high fashion and utilitarianism, the American designer’s impending collection eloquently works an assortment of classic staples against contemporary tailoring with a few splashes of color and draping overlays. Now prepping the release of his line, Ervell presents a brief video lookbook to his fall/winter range presented against the natural backdrops where his designs took inspiration. With direction from Luke Gilford, How To Dress Well provides the accompanying music.
