An originator of West Coast skate-inspired urban style, FUCT has evolved from a Los Angeles-based cult label to one of the most respected brands in American streetwear since its establishment by artist Erik Brunetti two decades ago. In celebration of the brand’s 20-year milestone, Rizzoli recently published the definitive retrospective of the label – a hardcover tome featuring contributions by Aaron Rose and Gary Warnett and filled with everything from products and advertising to Brunetti’s own sketches and artwork. While celebrating the launch of the book at Parisian retailer Starcow, the artist himself reflected on the past 20 years, touching on the likes of American fashion, Japanese takes on Americana, FUCT SSDD, his own hiatus and more. Check out Brunetti’s thoughts above as the retrospective publication is now available online for $50 USD.
