MO-TO: Modern Vintage Toy Cars

Childhood friends and co-founders of Candylab Toys Vlad and Florin look to bring classic American toy cars to a new generation of kids and kidults alike with their MO-TO series. Drawing inspiration from the American modernist designs of the ’50s and ’60s, the simplistic wooden cars are handcrafted to be at once sleek, stylish and extremely robust. Constructed out of German beechwood, the cars feature vibrant high gloss finishes and graphics as well as rubber tires and minute details for each model. With toys these days being considerably more complex and as a result, more fragile and disposable, MO-TO certainly shows promise in bringing back simple toys that will nurture a kid’s imagination and last countless bouts of playtime.
