With two buzzing emcees, both sharing similar stories with their representing crews and cult-like fan bases, Earl Sweatshirt and A$AP Ferg look to go head to head in sales as the two released their debuts albums this week. Earl Sweatshirt looks to represent the West Coast and his Odd Future crew, and his debut album Doris includes additional assistance from notable artists such as Frank Ocean, Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell, Mac Miller and RZA. Harlem rapper A$AP Ferg looks to continue the success his A$AP Mob brother A$AP Rocky initiated, and provides listeners with his debut LP Trap Lord, which features ScHoolboy Q, French Montana,Waka Flocka and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. According to HDD, it looks like Ferg’s album is expected to sell 30-35k, landing him in at No. 5 on charts for the week, and Earl’s album is projected to move roughly 55-60k, and come in at the No. 4 spot. Currently set to top the Billboard charts next week is John Mayer‘s latest album Paradise Valley, which looks to sell 145-155k units.
