The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple‘s next iPhone will come in two new flavors, including a lower-cost variant and the standard model. According to WSJ‘s sources, the standard model will continue with the metal casing while the low-cost version will feature a new non-metal (presumably plastic) case to further differentiate the two. Materials aside, the new iPhones will reportedly also come with additional color options in the same vein as Apple’s iPod lineup. Apple reportedly has a launch event planned for September 10 which may serve as the official announcement for the new iPhone(s). Stay tuned for more news.
