Long known for its unique updates to classic and timeless footwear silhouettes, British cobbler Oliver Sweeney presents a preliminary look at its upcoming collection of releases for the Spring/Summer 2014 season. Featuring everything from the Orleans derby brogue, Kleber chukka boot and Clamart monk strap brogue to sneakers like the Barrosa, Lavre and Cibboro low-tops – as well as the mid-top Moita silhouette – the range includes a bevy of takes on both dress shoes and casual sneakers. Oiled leathers, premium suedes, and even PU-coated fabrics appear throughout the uppers, dress shoes sport Goodyear-welted construction and EVA soles while many of the sneakers boast cup sole construction and reversed welt detailing. Hand-finished details are a hallmark throughout and include toe punches, intricate stitch work, and a variety of high-shine and textured applications to the luxurious leathers and suedes.
